Dental tooth bonding is a quick, affordable, and effective cosmetic dental procedure that can repair chipped, cracked, discolored, or misshapen teeth. During the bonding procedure, a tooth-colored composite resin material is applied directly to the affected tooth, then carefully shaped and sculpted to restore the tooth to its natural appearance.
One of the greatest advantages of dental bonding is that it can usually be completed in a single visit to our office, often in less than an hour per tooth. Unlike veneers or crowns, which require multiple visits and laboratory fabrication, bonding is performed directly on the tooth in one appointment, making it one of the most convenient cosmetic dental treatments available.

The Bonding Process
The bonding process begins with Dr. Marvizi or Dr. Rayhan selecting a composite resin shade that closely matches the color of your natural teeth. The surface of the tooth is then lightly roughened and a conditioning liquid is applied to help the bonding material adhere to the tooth. The tooth-colored resin is then applied, molded, and smoothed into the desired shape.
Once the resin has been shaped to perfection, an ultraviolet (UV) light or laser is used to harden and cure the material. After the bonding material has set, your dentist will make any final adjustments, trim any excess material, and polish the bonded tooth so that it matches the sheen of the rest of your teeth.
